First Generation
The first generation of Toyota Kluger was made from 2000 – 2007. The Toyota Kluger shares a platform with the Toyota Harrier and Toyota Camry. The Kluger is in the top ranks of midsize SUVs because it is safer and more comfortable than its competitors. The Toyota Kluger has independent rear wheel suspension and an average of 4.8 stars out of 5 in crash test rating making the Kluger definitely on the safer side of vehicles. traction control; 2004 and later models also came with a tire pressure
monitor.
Second Generation
The second generation of the Toyota Kluger was made from 2007 – 2012. This generation of Toyota Kluger
has better a bigger engine and fuel economy than the previous
generation with an estimated 9.4 L/100 km for the front wheel drive
models compared to the first generation that gets 10 L/100 km at best.
The second generation Toyota Klugers
also comes with electric power steering and the options of back up
camera, rear seat DVD, smart key system, and tow package with the
ability to tow up to 2268 kg.
Third Generation
The third generation of the Toyota Kluger will start production in 2014.This generation of Kluger will be longer and wider.
